Job Brief

The role is responsible for the planning, coordination, and development of the ANTlabs products, core platforms, and technologies. The candidate is required to supervise the work of multiple diverse teams in Singapore, the Philippines, and other countries in the Development and Technology department.

The Engineering Manager’s primary focus covers:

1. Participating in the review and overseeing the execution of new designs, services and processes for the development and technology department.
2. System integration and quality assurance for product and patch releases.
3. Software development, code maintenance, feature updates, version upgrades and technology refresh in collaboration with the product and service operations departments.
4. Custom software engineering for customer solutions delivered by the service delivery team.
5. Evaluate and determine the department team structure, recruitment, outsourcing, training and talent development to meet current and future project and technologies demands.

Requirements

• The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience directly managing a team of 5 or more engineers in different countries.
• Proven work experience managing or leading the software development or system that has been deployed and operating as a public 24×7 Internet service for 3 or more years.
• The candidate must have a strong background in Linux software development and system integration; and good knowledge of cloud service providers, e.g. AWS, Azure etc, virtualization infrastructure, e.g. VMWare, OpenStack etc. and networking, e.g. LAN, campus-wide, metropolitan networks.
• Candidate with industrial experience delivering 24×7 network-based services, large scale distributed systems supporting 100K or more concurrent users, web services for large public venues, subscription and utility-based services for a global customer base, a common technology platform for rapid automated deployment will be valued.

Responsibilities 

  • Provide technical deployments in all running projects & new projects as a team member of the Service Delivery Division.
  • Understand how to gather more technical requirements/information and recommend a solution.
  • Must be able to install Linux systems, do end-to-end/pilot testing in staging/production environments, perform ANTlabs solution verification, and perform fault escalation.
  • Perform troubleshooting and patch fixes at a hardware and software level.
  • Able to diagnose, isolate, troubleshoot, and fix technical issues under pressure.
  • Show responsibility for all assigned tasks, that may even require working after office hours (in certain urgent situations) to achieve tasks or timely project completion.
  • Demonstrates ability to execute and perform timely follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction & instill quality in every aspect of job function.
  • Any other matters as instructed by the Supervisor (or) Project Managers when required due to the job nature.
  • Overseas travel may be required for onsite implementation (duration – depends on project/customer/onsite requirement).

Technical Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in installing, managing, and troubleshooting Linux Operating systems such as RHEL, CentOS or Ubuntu
  • Experience and knowledge of open source applications/tools such as HA clustering, HA Proxy, BIND DNS, Apache, Nginx, LDAP, SMTP, NTP, NFS, SNMP, PRTG, etc
  • Experience and knowledge of Virtualization technologies (KVM, Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware)
  • Experience and know
  • wledge of Cloud Services like AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.
  • Database knowledge such as MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, etc
  • Basic understanding of cloud/enterprise networking and security best practices
  • Knowledge of OS/Application security hardening.
  • Experience in Linux shell/Bash script
  • Experience and knowledge of networking such as switching, routing, firewall, VLAN, TCP/IP
  • Knowledge of containerization and related tools (Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes) will be preferred.
  • Having Dell Power Edge installation and troubleshooting experience will be advantages.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of technical work experience in the IT/Telecom industry with the following technical skills/experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Computer / Telecommunications), Computer Science / Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • Fast learner with a positive attitude and the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects independently without much supervision.
  • Able to perform duties inside a data center environment, outside of office hours, and/or night activities as required by the projects.

Job Description 

As a Service Desk Engineer, you will act as the first point of contact for ANTlabs’ customers to report issues and faults relating to our products for support and services.

The primary objective of the role is to provide first-time resolution. This will be achieved by troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving problems at the first point of contact and/or escalating the fault to one of our 2nd line specialist teams to investigate and resolve.

Throughout this process, you will remain the single point of contact between ANTlabs and the customers during your shift, maintaining ownership, providing timely updates, and ensuring the fault is given the correct level of priority and attention.

This is a position that calls for excellent customer service skills, the ability to articulate resolutions clearly and confidently to customers, and a good level of technical knowledge of ANTlabs products.

Responsibilities:

  • Involve in providing customers and partners with in-depth technical assistance in the use of our products and solutions.
  • Cooperate with client sales and professional services teams to ensure ongoing customer success and satisfaction.
  • Form part of an on-call rotation order to guarantee 24x7x365 support to customers in shifts.
  • Participate in the maintenance of support documentation.

Requirements:

  • Has experience working with Linux OS (1-2yrs)
  • Experience in UNIX scripting is a plus
  • Networking experience exposure or CCNA certified is a plus
  • Have prior knowledge and experience in troubleshooting, configuring gateway appliance, or network appliance
  • Resourceful with good analytical skills and ability to perform systematic troubleshooting techniques
  • Good customer handling and communication skills
  • Comfortable in handling customers over the phone
  • Good and clear communication skills (oral and written)
  • Knowledge in PMS is a plus
  • Basic HTML / PHP is a plus

This includes research and integration of the latest web technologies into the development of network-enabled solutions from the company, with particular emphasis on software architecture, programming skills, and user experience.

Requirements:

  • BSc/MSc in Computer Science or relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience and proven success as a junior web developer
  • Web development experience with Apache, MySQL and PHP in a Unix/Linux environment
  • Interest in web usability and interactivity, including use of JavaScript, DHTML, CSS, AJAX
  • Knowledge of web application technologies, including HTML5, SOAP & XML
  • Experience with Payment, Content Management, Advertisement or Reporting System integration preferred
  • Foundation in TCP/IP networking and protocols, including HTTP
  • Strong skills and interest in programming
  • Understanding of security practices
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • High sense of ownership of task assigned, deliver work with high quality and efficiency
